POLICY ON IN-PERSON WORSHIP
RUMC will continue to meet while the county’s COVID color code is Red. Should Portage County's COVID color code would turn to purple during the week, the upcoming Sunday would be the last Sunday in person until the color code returns to red. In person worship also means that Sunday School is available for ages Pre-K through Adults. If you have any questions about whether or not there is in-person worship, you can call the office (330-325-1426) and the recording will let you know if we are worshiping inside.
RUMC WOMEN IN MINISTRY
Women in Ministry (WIM) supports missionaries all over. Recently, they have received thank you letters from the Overholts and the Lizzie Project through World Gospel Mission where WIM donated to the educational scholarship gift for students in Honduras. The educational scholarship provides students with a uniform, books and supplies. WIM also donates a child named Vishal through the Child Fund International. Vishal has sent a letter of thanks for the donation provided to him by WIM it reads:
Dear Friends,
Greetings!
I have received the Christmas gift of US$25.00 (INR 1855.00) sent by you. Many thanks to you from me for this. I have purchased a jacket and a bag with this, and the balance amount is deposited in my savings account.

In Hindi, I learn reading the book and making sentence. All this is done through games. I love to go to PENCIL Centre. Activities are taught through games in PENCIL Centre. I learn very quickly.
I am studying in class 5. Locality classes are being run in my village. I also to study there. In evening, I finish homework at home. My elder sister helps in homework. I also help in household chores.
We all family members are well, and we all pray that you and your family members will be well. At present winter season is going on here. Weather is colder in the morning. Some days later Diyari festival will be celebrated in the village. IN this festival, villagers feed khichri prepared from pulses and rice to cows and oxen.
Please convey my regards to your family. Lots of love for you. I finish this letter to you. Regards.
Your sponsored child,
Vishal
EMERGENCY MEALS
We are looking for someone to take over organizing and coordinating Emergency meals. Connie Griffith has been doing this for quite some time and needs to step down from this role. Emergency meals are offered to individuals and families within the church as needed when a crisis occurs and are effective way to show care and support and share God’s love. If you are interested in taking on this role, please let the office know!
RECOVERY HOUSEING AND BEATING ADDICTION
RUMC is partnering with Bike, Hope, Love and Hope Town Recovery Housing to establish a recovery house in Portage County. A recovery house is a place addicts can live, work, and recover in a safe environment. This increases the likelihood of long term recovery substantially. Please consider helping furnish this recovery house. For a list of items, visit this link: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/publish?EQBCT=97d74dbf66ef466b8382ba7e07f7d81f
For more information, contact Pastor Don Richards (dtailwind@aol.com)
UPLIFT - Empowering people by providing essential items.
Galatians 6:2 says," Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
We started this outreach in February and have been overwhelmed by the support and donations! We have been able to help families in ways we would not have been able to before. We are well stocked at this moment but will always welcome donations. If you know of anyone who could use help with items like these please don’t hesitate to let us know.
